Adding the Dragon Race to DBZRP

Before you guys judge, hear the idea out. Dragon's, mainly Shenron and Prounga, play a bigger role in dbz than goku and his friends. The thought of not adding them as a playable race doesn't make sense. Though this will proably need some fixing, this is what i've come up with mostly.

Dragon Transformations

Young Dragon

Baby Dragon is the first form Dragons start off when they are born. They are just getting used to their power at the time, but don't let the name fool you. They are extremely dangerous even like this, and are already building immunity to damage.

  • Requires a powerlevel of 1,302,000 to achive
  • Adds a permanent 30 speed and damage.
  • Apon transforming, gives user 5% resistance to Energy and Physical attacks, and 10% resistance to Magic.

Teenage Dragon

This is when Dragons begin to fully develop their powers fully. They become a bit more dangerous and wild in this form, but some are still peaceful. Though this is very rare.

  • Requires a powerlevel of 32,509,000 to achieve
  • Adds a permanent 45 speed and damage.
  • Apon transforming, gives user 10% resistance to Energy and Physical attacks, and 20% resistance to magic.

Dragonoid

Dragonoids is the third stage of development, and normally a dragons final form. Their appearance in this form is similar to that of the shadow dragons, except it varies. They are quite berserk and do as they please in this form, rather it be for the good, or for the bad.

  • Requires a powerlevel of  5,923,012,000 to achieve
  • Adds a permanent 60 speed and damage.
  • Apon transforming, gives user 15% resistance to Energy and Physical attacks, and 30% resistance to magic.

Adult Dragon

This is the 4th and final stage of a dragon, one that most dragons don't reach. The reason for this is because the toll it takes to transform. Dragons at this stage normally protecting their homes, and won't hesitate to destroy anything within their territory.

  • Requires a powerlevel of 92,351,390,052,000 to achieve.
  • Adds a permanent 75 speed and damage
  • Apon transforming, gives user 20% resistance to Energy and Physical attacks, and 40% resistance to magic.

Legendary: Eternal Dragon

A Eternal Dragon was once said to be born every one thousand years. These dragons, as the name implies, are Eternal, meaning they do not get old and die, but can still be killed. A dragon born like this has unbelievable amounts of power, and are said to rule their own realm of dragons even.

  • At birth, Eternal Dragons receive 25 speed and damage.
  • They receive a special item/weapon known as "False Dragon ball". This item can be used to give the dragon user a 190% stat increase if the dragon ball is swallowed. This lasts for 1 turn and can be used once every 3 turns.
  • By cutting their resistance in half, they are able to decrease their opponents resistance to attacks by the lost amount.. This can only be used twice per battle.
  • Physical attacks have a 10% chance of inflicting a 5% bleeding effect for 3 turns. This can be stacked up to 4 times, but can not be activated more than once in one turn.

Dragon Skills, starting stats,  51+ multiplier, and attacks

  • Speed: 5
  • Damage: 5

Can't think of anymore at the moment.

+10 speed, +14 damage, +30,000 health, x2.75 powerlevel, and 13,000 zeni

Dragon's Gathering - When 7 Dragons meet (all with this skill and in battle only) each dragon gets a stat boost of 100 to Speed and Damage and 10,000 extra health for the rest of the battle.

First and foremost - I'd cut those resistances in half. Then for all transformations, that's 25% damage resistance (pretty good) and 50% magic resistance (really good).

Second, those permanent bonuses are way too high. Here are my recommendations:

  • Young Dragon: 10 Speed and Damage
  • Teenage Dragon: 20 Speed and Damage
  • Dragonoid: 30 Speed and Damage
  • Adult Dragon: 40 Speed and Damage.

This gives a total of +100 Speed and Damage, as well as damage resistance on top of that. For reference, humans get +135 damage and +70 speed, and they also have permanent bonuses. As for the legendary, I'd say +25 speed and damage at birth, and an additional +25 when Adult Dragon is unlocked.

As for the skills:

  • Fire Breath: 10% Burn for 3 turns, 5 turn cooldown.
  • Magic Expert: x1.5 XP when reading.

Not sure on the rest.

EDIT: Another recommendation - Remove the damage resistance entirely. Give the Legendary 25% resistance to all damage. Let anyone pick it.

EDIT 2: Alternatively, keep the damage resistance (at 25% and 50% max), but halve my suggested changes - +5 speed/damage for young, +10 for teenage, etc. That damage resistance is rather powerful.

EDIT 3: Also, for the Levels 51+ stat increases, +5 speed, +8 damage, +30,000 health, x1.75 powerlevel, and 7,500 zeni

I completely forgot to say to halve all the effects from the transformations earlier.

Cut the resistance in half: Fair enough. 25% resistance to Physical/Energy attacks, 50% resistance to Magic in general. If legionaries have an extra 25% resistance to all damage, then that'd be 50% resistance to Physical/Energy Attacks, and 75% resistance against magic.

Lowered perm stats: I knew they were gonna be low, but i think that's a bit low. How about this?

  • Young Dragon: 15 perm speed and damage.
  • Teenage Dragon: 30 perm speed and damage.
  • Dragonoid: 45 perm Speed and damage.
  • Adult Dragon: 60 perm speed and damage.

I'm going up by 15 on this if you haven't noticed, and the reason i say that they should be that high is because in terms of perm bonuses  Dragon > Demon > Human. Though I do like the idea of +25 speed and damage at birth, then +25 speed and damage when they reach their final form. Try thinking about the level they'd have to be in order to reach that final level, since it won't be as easy as transformations are now.

The skills

  • Fire Breath: 10% burn for 3 turns, 3 turn cooldown since its a skill.
  • Magic Expert: agreeded

Edit 1: I'd rather have resistance be a racial trait, since dragons are known to be quite resilient towards damage of most kinds. It could be pick able for an extra skill, but besides that the resistance that come with the transformations should stay.

Edit 2: I'd say keep it as is. With the idea of dragons in mind, they are powerful both stat wise and resilient wise. That's why i say keep it as what i suggested, along with the 25% resistance to physical/energy damage, and 50% resistance to magic

Edit 3: Dragons, for the most part, should be superior to most races after level 50. Thats why i'm gonna go with +12 speed and damage, 30,000 hp, x2.75 pl, and 12,000 zeni for 51+. Your suggestion just seems way to low.

I never said "give legendaries even more resistance" I said "give legendaries the resistance."

I'm trying to keep this at around the same level as anyone else, more-or-less, so everybody just doesn't insta-pick them.

New recommended bonuses:

  • Young: +15 Speed/Damage
  • Teenage: +25
  • Dragonoid: +35
  • Adult: +50

That's a total of +125 speed and damage.

Fire Breath: 4 turns, so you don't just lock them into a permanent bleed effect. Ancient Martial Arts: This suggestion was from Prynce earlier, agreed. Dragons' Gathering: As this is hard to pull off, I'd say make the bonuses even higher - +150 speed and damage, +50,000 health. This would only really be good for bosses and sagas, so.

My final suggestion:

Stats

  • Starting: 3 Speed, 3 Damage.
  • Levels 51+ stat increases: +5 speed, +8 damage, +30,000 health, x1.75 powerlevel, and 7,500 zeni

Transformations

  • Young: +15 Speed/Damage, +1% Damage Resistance. 750,000 PL requirement.
  • Teenage: +25 Speed/Damage, +2% Damage Resistance. 150,000,000 PL requirement.
  • Dragonoid: +35% Speed/Damage, +3% Damage Resistance. 30,000,000 PL requirement.
  • Adult: +50 Speed and Damage, +4% Damage Resistance. 1,000,000,000 PL requirement.
  • Legendary: +25 Speed and Damage at start, additional +25 Speed and Damage at Adult, +5% Damage Resistance at start.

This gives non-legendaries a total of +10% damage resist and +125 speed and damage, and legendaries get +15% damage resist and +175 speed and damage.

This gives Dragons very powerful permanent bonuses, AND a slight damage resistance on top of that. This damage resistance applies to ALL damage.

Skills

  • Fire Breath: -10% Bleed Damage for 3 turns if it hits, 5 turn cooldown.
  • Dragons' Gathering: +150 Speed and Damage, +50,000 Health to all allied dragons, if there are 7 dragons on one team.
  • Magic Expert: x1.5 Magic XP
  • Ancient Martial Arts: Deals punch damage, 50% chance to stun if it hits. 4 turn cooldown.

My final suggestion

Stats

  • Sorry, but I gotta stick with my thought of 5 speed/damage. If not that, 4 speed, 5 damage.
  • Level 51+ stat increases: +7 speed/damage, +27,000, Powerlevel x2.75, and 6,500 zeni

Transformations

Alright, I can agree with the stat boosts, but the resistance just seems too low imo. Here's what I came up with

  • Young dragon - 3% Damage Resistance
  • Teenage Dragon - 6% Damage Resistance
  • Dragonoid - 9% Damage Resistance
  • Adult Dragon - 12% Damage Resistance
  • Legendary - Instead of more Damage Resistance for Legendary, they could negate possibly 1-3 effects per battle.

This would give a fully powered  Dragon 30% damage resistance, the same percentage of resistance Majins would have without the 20% regeneration skill.

Skills

I pretty much agree with them. I had another idea for a skill....but i forgot it.

0

2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, for a total of 20% damage resistance. 30% is too much.

Otherwise agreed. Legendaries can negate 2 effects per battle. On themselves.

4 speed, 5 damage.

I hate to be the party-pooper, but honestly dragons that don't have insane god-like powers play almost no role in DBZ, but with that said this wiki hasn't always clinged the closest to it's source material.
